Taxi industry inquiry in Victoria
In March, the government of Victoria launched an inquiry into the local taxi industry. The inquiry is chaired by Professor Allan Fels AO.

Its draft report "Customers First: Service, Safety, Choice" can be downloaded from <a href=http://www.taxiindustryinquiry.vic.gov.au/>http://www.taxiindustryinquiry.vic.gov.au/</a>. Comments can be submitted until 13 July.

Some of the report's content is applicable to NSW taxis, including the 10% surcharge levied on fares paid by credit or debit cards.
