Commuter Council rejects Penrith to City "Fast Train"
We have received the following email from the Commuter Council -

"The NSW Commuter Council  supports the NSW Government rejection of the Penrith to City fast train project on the following grounds:
<ol>
<li>Separate path and stations would undermine expansion and integration of the existing system.
<li>The $3 extra fare loading equates to a cost of $30 for 5 weekly return journeys.
<li>The private airport stations alone add $20 for a return trip and went into receivership 6 months after opening.
<li>The government claims there is a $2.5 Billion hole in the proposal supports concerns regarding actual travel costs.
</ol>
