COUNCIL CALLS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO GREEN SQUARE TRANSPORT
Responding to a new report demonstrating unsustainable growth in car use in Green Square, Council this week urged the State Government to act more quickly on real transport alternatives.
If nothing is done, by 2030 at least 4,500 more car trips will be added to the regional car network, according to the Transport Management and Accessibility Plan (TMAP) prepared by the Ministry of Transport in consultation with the RTA, Landcom and the City.
