Transport projects assessed to be very beneficial
posted Monday 29 May 2006
The Centre for International Economics has released a
new report finding that NSW's economy would benefit from
completion of some public transport and other projects.
The report was written by Kerry Barwise and Naomi Standing.
It was commissioned by the Property Council of Australia.
The results of the study show that investing in the 10 highest priority projects would deliver substantial net gains to NSW equivalent to $8.8 billion a year for the next 30 years.
The report may be seen at http://www.thecie.com.au/publications/CID-Property_Council_of_Australia.pdf.
