Summer Hill Station opens end February

posted Sunday 1 February 2004
The "Glebe" newspaper reports that the remodelled Summer Hill railway station in Sydney's inner west will open at the end of February (See item dated 2 May 2002 below). The station design was changed significantly when local residents mounted a campaign against the overpowering visual bulk and the large number of steps in the original design. The revised design incorporates pedestrian underpasses instead of a concourse located on a bridge over the tracks.
