PrePay on 459 bus postponed
State Transit's proposal to make the Route 459 bus between Strathfield and Macquarie University "PrePay" only, from 23 June, has been postponed.

There was considerable community scepticism and opposition to the proposal, including from APT, and State Transit has deferred it in the interest of preserving the general public goodwill toward PrePay services.

In what may well be a record for government responsiveness, State Transit advised us of the postponement on the same day that it received our letter of complaint.
