LED Destination Signs on Buses

Action for Public Transport has written to the CEO of Sydney Buses as follows:

Action for Public Transport (APTNSW) commends State Transit for the installation of LED destination and route displays on a number of buses from Kingsgrove Depot.

For brilliance and clarity, daytime or night-time, the new signs are several levels above anything previously used on Sydney Buses. They are much appreciated by passengers.

We have not yet noticed a new sign in the rain, but we hope that the display remains as clear under those circumstances.

We look forward to seeing the LED signs on all new buses, and perhaps retro-fitted to older ones.

Would that the view for passengers through the plastic film-covered side windows was so clear.
