CityRail to release draft 2009 timetable for public comment

CityRail will release details of its proposed 2009 timetable for public comment on 24 November. The proposed timetable changes will be available in brochure form and on its website.

The comment period will close on 19 December.

CityRail expects to implement the new timetable in the second half of 2009.

The most significant changes occur on the Main North and North Shore lines.

Four morning peak trains from the north to the city via Epping will be diverted to the new line through Macquarie Park and Chatswood, making room for three additional trains from the west through Strathfield.
