North West Rail Link - Detailed route released - Comment invited

posted Wednesday 6 June 2007
On 5 June 2007 the NSW Minister for Transport released the preferred alignment for the North West Rail Link (NWRL) between Epping and Rouse Hill.

Following initial community consultation, two modifications have been made to the project:

The NWRL is proposed to be built in two stages, with the first stage between Epping and Hills Centre Station proposed to be operational by 2015, and the second stage between Hills Centre Station and Rouse Hill by 2017.

The Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDC) will be holding a series of community information sessions over the next month. Further public comment is invited during the public exhibition period, with submissions to be sent to the Department of Planning. The preferred project report will be on public display until Monday, 9 July. The report can be viewed online at http://www.tidc.nsw.gov.au/ or at a number of display locations throughout north-west Sydney. For further information regarding the NWRL preferred project report please contact the TIDC Project Infoline on 1800-684-490 or via their website.
