On 24 February 2003, Transport NSW called tenders for carrying out a "Central Sydney Light Rail Patronage Study" and a "Central Sydney Light Rail Route Evaluation Study". Tenders close on 10 March 2003. On the same day, State Transit called tenders for the refit and overhaul of the Manly ferry "Queenscliff".
