Action for Public Transport (N.S.W.) Inc. |
A survey by Action for Public Transport during the first week of operation found that even on those sections of the T-way reserved exclusively for buses, the buses had to slow to a near stop and accelerate again at two thirds of the signals. APT has written to the Roads & Traffic Authority, claiming that the stop-start operation of buses is uncomfortable, and in some circumstances, dangerous, and not up to the public's expectations of current computer-controlled signal technology.
APT was also critical of the lack of route maps inside the buses, the failure of the on-board public address announcements, poor station identification, and the low number of seats provided at some stops.
