As reported in the Sydney Morning Herald of 9 November, the train running times will be extended by up to four minutes. Some will run as little as one minute later. Passengers will be advised of the changes by the use of information boards at stations. CityRail has denied that the changes amount to a "back door" introduction of the controversial April 2002 timetable plan which has been deferred indefinitely, saying that only 20 out of its 2738 daily train services are affected.
The services affected are:-
