Changes to Nightride Buses

posted Saturday 26 October 2002
The NSW Department of Transport has announced changes to Nightride bus services from midnight 1 November 2002. Nightride buses replace trains between midnight and 5 a.m. on most lines.

The city starting point for routes N70 (Penrith), N80 (Hornsby via Epping) and N90 (Hornsby via Chatswood) will move from George Street near the Bathurst Street corner to the bus stop in Bathurst St beside St Andrews Cathedral. This is the stop used by the inbound route 500 series buses during the day.

The starting points in George Street for the following routes will remain the same: N10 (Sutherland), N11 (Cronulla), N20 (Riverwood), N30 (Macarthur), N40 (East Hills), N50 (Liverpool via Regents Park) and N60 (Liverpool via Parramatta).

The route N1 City Loop will be discontinued.

There are other minor changes to routes N40, N70 and N90.

See advertisement on p. 30 of the Sydney Morning Herald Friday 25/10/02 or contact the transport infoline on 131500 for further details.

New Nightride timetables have also begun to appear on posts in the city and suburbs, replacing signs that, in some cases, have gone black with mould or have disintegrated in the weather. A contract has been awarded to a private company to look after the signs, independently of the operator of the routes.
